A public meeting on the proposed sewer rate increase will be held Monday, August 11. The meeting will take place at the main branch of the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library on Monday from 6-8pm. The Department of Public Utilities will present information about the Toledo Waterways Initiative program, and the legislation needed to allow the water pollution control projects to remain on time and in compliance with the City's agreement with the US Environmental Protection Agency.

The administration is requesting increases of 7.1% for five years and an increase of 7.9% in 2020 to complete the remaining construction projects. Officials will be available for questions.

Another public meeting will be held on August 20th at 4pm in City Council Chambers at One Government Center.
