Columbus, OH (WSPD) - U.S. Senator Rob Portman says President Obama may have to answer for "doing dumb stuff" rather than developing a strategy for dealing with ISIS.

The Ohio Republican tells sister station WTVN that if Obama comes to Congress for authorization, some members won't hesitate to bring up his disengagement and "leading from behind."

Portman says Obama is more interested in taking things off the table and telling our enemies what we're not going to do instead of keeping our options open and being a president who understands our reluctant role as a superpower. Without us though, Portman says the peace of the world is at stake.

As far as reports that he's ready to form an exploratory committee in advance of a possible run for president, Portman says he's focused on 2014 and changing the dynamic in DC.
