Registered Sex Offender Moves In Next to School

(Toledo, OH) One elementary schools new neighbor is causing an uproar.

Convicted child rapist Richard Davis moved in across the street from Arlington Elementary School last week.

The school received a letter in the mail notifying them of the registered sex offender moving in across the street.

Parents of Arlington students are concerned with some even spending the day outside the school between the playground and Davis' apartment.

According to the Sheriff's department, Davis' move was legal due to a technicality in a 2003 law that excluded all cases prior to July of the same year; Davis was convicted of rape in 2002.
