Federal Workers Won't Face Late Fees On Toledo Water Bills

TOLEDO, Ohio - Federal workers that are currently working without pay won't have to worry about paying their water bills to the City of Toledo.

WTOL 11 reports Toledo City Council passed a resolution Tuesday night allowing federal workers in the city to pay their water bills at a later date without late fees. The resolution passed with a 9-to-1 vote.

Toledo City Council member Nick Komives says workers will have 30 days to pay their bills once the partial government shutdown ends. Their accounts won't accrue any late fees during the shutdown.
