An Arizona elementary school teacher gave an odd excuse for exposing himself and urinating in a classroom trash can in front of his students, according to local authorities.
Curt Hinton, 52, who was charged with four counts of indecent exposure and placed on administrative leave earlier this month, admitted to peeing in a white can inside the classroom, but claimed he didn't think the students could see his penis as he covered it with his hands and that he was unable to get another staffer to watch his class while he went to the restroom, the Phoenix Police Department told Arizona's Family last Friday (March 21). A small group of students told the principal they heard what sounded like falling water in the classroom before Hinton was discovered relieving himself inside the classroom, rather than using a restroom, the department confirmed.
Each student claims to have seen Hinton's genitalia during the incident. Police confirmed that the teacher's desk was not enclosed and could be easily viewed by the students.
Hinton claims he reverted to his military background as he was unable to leave his post.
“We are actively working with the Phoenix Police Department regarding this matter,” school officials said in a statement obtained by FOX 10. “In accordance with policy, Wilson Elementary School District cannot provide details regarding personnel matters; however, we can confirm that the teacher has been placed on administrative leave pending further action, has been relieved of all duties and has been arrested.”
