Memorial Day Weekend Things To Do

It could turn out to be a very good Memorial Day weekend weather wise.  So you might be thinking about what to do with yourself.  I have a few suggestions down below, in no particular order.

Ohio Bike Week

Ohio Bike Week is in full gear out in Sandusky Ohio.  This is great big festival that you may think is only for bikers.  Yes, there will be bikers there.  However, this event is fun for anyone, food and music, and shopping, and beverages are available in the festival areas including downtown Sandusky.  To find out the full schedule them out at OhioBikeWeek.com

Cedar Point Shores

Among many other local swimming holes Cedar Point is opening their 18 acre water park that they renamed last year to Cedar Point Shores.   The water park has 17 attractions, that adults and kids can both enjoy.  It also has a variety of menu options from wraps, salads, and seafood, and ice cream.   This weekend they are providing free admission to all active, retired and honorably discharged members of the U.S. Armed Forces.  Right now and for a limited time, guests can buy a one-day Cedar Point ticket for just $45 and receive a Cedar Point Shores ticket free. Tickets are valid for a visit through Sept. 3 and must be purchased online at cedarpoint.com.

Listen to the Coca Cola 600

We carry NASCAR on our country station New Country 103.7 'CKY.  This weekends Monster Energy Race is in Charlotte.  Coverage starts at 5pm you can listen to it on the radio or on the iHeartRadio app

Cookout

At some point you should eat some food that has been cooked or grilled on an open fire.  I think it's state law, don't quote me on that.

Parades

Toledo and Bowling Green will both have Memorial Day parades that start at 10 am on Monday.
