A Texas couple went on a road trip to Detroit for a concert and left their 11-year old daughter at home for days. They were arrested when they returned home from their trip.
John Guerrero, 48 and Virginia Yearnd, 39 were arrested at home after they traveled to see the band Godflesh, in Detroit.
Cops were alerted to the situation after the girls great aunt called to report that she was left home alone. Officers went to check on the 11 year old, who they found trying to cook. The girls said no one came to check on her despite the mother telling deputies that she asked her sister to look after her daughter.
The couple were charged with second-degree felony child endangerment and booked with no bond.
Apparently according to Texas law child endangerment is when someone intentionally places a child under the age of 15 in danger.
