Sometimes it can be hard to think of something to do with your family in our area. There is actually a lot to do but sometimes the ideas just don't come to mind. I have a list of ten things you could do this holiday season with family.
- Visit The Lights Before Christmas
- The Lights Before Christmas at the Toledo Zoo is a Toledo Tradition, and has been named the best zoo light display by USA Today for 3 years running. And this year the historic tunnel across the Anthony Wayne trail is open.
- Go See a Movie
- Christmas time is a busy time for new movies to be released.
- Go To The Toledo Museum Of Art
- The Museum has two different displays going on right now.
- Go Ice Skating
- You can find open skate times at several places like BGSU's Slater Family Ice Arena or Tam-o-shanter, also a few outdoor places, like Ottawa park and downtown Toledo
- Go To a Toledo Walleye Game or UT Basketball Game
- The Toledo Walleye have a couple of home games remaining in December on the 14th, 27th and 30th.
- Toledo Rockets Men's and Women's teams have a few home games remaining
- The Men play at home on the 15th, 19th and 29th
- The Women play at home on the 18th, 21st and 30th
- Take Kids to Imagination Station
- The imagination station is open Tuesday- Saturday 10a-5p, and Sundays 12-5p
- Visit The Toledo Metro Parks, or Wood County parks
- Both parks have lots of space and activities for outdoor fun in the winter.
- Visit the 577 Foundation
- This area secret is free to explore during hours. It is a trip back in time. The land is the former home of Duane and Virginia Stranahan.
- Go to the Library
- Most of the area libraries offer space for kids to learn and play.
- Go to see the Christmas Light display at MIS
