On the heels of the Astros cheating scandal news, avid On Air With Ryan Seacrest listener, and Dodgers’ Cody Bellinger’s mom, Jennifer Bellinger, phoned in to weigh in on the news.
In case you missed it, on Monday, Major League Baseball and commissioner Rob Manfred announced punishments for the Houston Astros stemming from their alleged sign-stealing scheme throughout the 2017 World Series championship season.
“I have a personal reaction, but I don’t feel comfortable sharing that publicly,” Jennifer, who called in amid hearing the convo, shared on-air. “But because the Dodgers were always a better team, I feel like 2020 is gonna be the year we’re going to win it.”
Jennifer, who said they’ve had time to process things longer than the public, said she was skeptical at the time.
“I remember someone telling me … that they thought there was something going on and I did try to pay attention,” she recalled. “… Heres the thing: Cheaters never foster, right?” She added. “… Karma is good and I think things are going to come back around for us.”
