You know the drill with celebrity break ups, we're all shocked for a week or so, we deal with the grieving process, and then eventually we start to feel better about getting our hearts ripped out of our chests by two people we literally don't even know.
Until they they give you another spark of hope that maybe they will end up together again... which is exactly what Jack Antonoff and Lena Dunham seem to be doing.
The couple first got together back in 2012 and dated until their break up became public in January of this year, but now it seems the two may be chatting again?
It all began with Lena posting this photo:
She posted the pic of her and her cat with a caption about how one of her cats sleeps on her face and sits on her lap on the toilet, which seems, innocent enough to me! The photo seems to have been shared sometime around 6am PST (this seems irrelevant but just wait!!)
Then iconic Instagram account @commentsbycelebs captured a very... interesting comment from none other than Lena's ex, Jack. And well, I'll let you see what they found:
Jack seems to ask why Lena is away, some time in the early morning (or mid morning, if they were in NYC...) and Lena quickly responded: "cuz it's the prime time to catch you on the gram, four eyes" and now I have SEVERAL more questions.
We knew that when the pair split about 6 months ago that it was "mutual" and that they were "both moving on" but does a split being mutual and seemingly friendly mean you would still comment asking your ex why they are up or call them potential pet names like "four eyes"??
Comments on the screen grab of the exchange by @commentsbycelebs are encouraging of the couple to get back together with people writing things like "this makes my heart happy" while others claim this is just "friendly banter."
I don't know what this means, because they could just be friends, but I do know I'll be keeping an eye on these two in the weeks to come!
