Chipotle Adds Themed Slides To Their Sustainable Apparel Line

US-ECONOMY-RETAIL-FOOD

If you're one of those people who regularly says, "I know the guac is extra," then boyyyy do I have the shoes for you.

Chipotle recently added a pair of shoes to their sustainable apparel line, and not only are they inexpensive, they're also hilarious and *very* on trend right now.

The shoes are a pair of black slides with the words "chips" and "guac" printed across one foot each in bold white font. The new shoes are part of Chipotle's sustainable apparel line, the Chipotle Goods collection, which launched last month!

The slides are complete with the Chipotle logo on the side of the shoe, in a spot that is not "in your face" but just obvious enough that yes, indeed, these are shoes from your favorite fast Mexican food restaurant.

Here's the details on how to get your hands on these shoes: they're available on the Chipotle Goods website, cost $22 per pair, and actually come in TWO different colors: "black bean", which is the black slide you see above, or "pepper" which is a muted red color.

The slides are made of molded rubber, and the website assures that the text on the shoes won't simply "rub off" from wear.

Brilliantly, the slides were officially released earlier this week on National Guacamole Day. Well played, Chipotle, well played.

If you're curious about other sustainable apparel by your favorite burrito spot, the Chipotle Goods collection also includes denim jackets lined with fabric printed in avocados or peppers, men's shirts of the same prints, women's tanks with avocados on them, t-shirts and hats with the word "extra" stitched in them and even printed socks AND a "thermal lunch bag" that looks like the bags you get at Chipotle when you order take out.

Honestly, it's all BRILLIANT. And I really am considering getting these slides! Anyone else!?
