The Maximum Number Of Dogs Per Household Might Be Going Up In LA!

I truly didn’t know there was a cap on how many dogs you could own as a household until now… did you?

But the good news is the city of Los Angeles may allow more dogs per house to ease shelter crowding.

Apparently the current law says three is the max which is exactly what I have…but there have been talks about raising it to 4 dogs maximum.

The reason they have these laws is to protect property owners from unpleasant odors and noise…

But this move would align with LA County’s four-dog limit, which has been in place since 2017, and they want to raise it to help with the overcrowding plaguing local animal shelters.

Multiple shelters are operating at more than double their capacity, and with a higher limit, increased adoptions could lessen the overcrowding.

So, consider this a PSA to rescue a pup now!
