A large tornado hit Tupelo, Mississippi yesterday afternoon.  The weatherman, named Matt Laubhan, was live on the air for their NBC affiliate when his studio had to be evacuated.

Matt stayed on the air until the last possible moment, and then ran to the basement just before the tornado hit.

One of Matt's co-workers claimed Matt had timed how long it would take him to get to the basement from the studio so he could stay on the air as long as possible IF this were to happen.  I guess he knew what he was doing.

All of the employees are okay, and no one in Tupelo was killed.

The video cuts out around the :43 mark.  Stay with it...they're still there.
