Rapper TYLER, THE CREATOR was arrested at the Austin airport on Saturday . . . for allegedly starting a riot during his gig at the South by Southwest festival two nights earlier.

The show was already full to capacity, but more people wanted in.  So Tyler started encouraging fans to bust past employees who were trying to keep them out.

He even got the audience to chant "Push!" . . . and hundreds of people did just that.  Tyler was released on $25,000 bond.

Tyler's show the night before had to be canceled after a wannabe record producer plowed into the crowd outside with his car, killing two people and injuring 23 others.
